Stephen Olyha
CEO
Steve joined Rev2 as Executive VP & COO in March 2009 and was named CEO in July 2011. He was appointed to the Rev2 Board of Directors in November 2011. Steve was previously Worldwide head of sales for Unisys, responsible for a $3B revenue stream for Unisys’ Systems Integration, Outsourcing, and Core Technology businesses. Prior to that role he was VP & Managing Partner, leading Unisys’ global Enterprise Solutions practice, including the Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Business Solutions, and Supply Chain Management practices. Steve was previously Vice President of Unisys’ Worldwide Customer Relationship Management (CRM) practice.
Before joining Unisys, Steve was a partner and managing director at Computer Sciences Corp., where he led the North American CRM Practice. Prior to CSC, he served as VP, Sales at the Estee Corp. He also held executive sales and marketing positions at Cadbury Schweppes, Mott’s USA, and Kraft General Foods. Steve received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Iona College.
Robert F. Cruickshank

Robert joined Rev2 from Cablevision Systems Corp., where he was VP of the Customer Service Operations Center, spearheading deployment and use of next-generation solutions, including Rev2’s RiskView® application. At Cablevision, he had the pivotal role of simplifying Call Center tools with network health Go/No-Go metrics to streamline and efficiently deliver outstanding service to Cablevision’s customers. Robert forged communications among various teams including customer service, field operations, network operations and engineering. Prior to Cablevision, he led the development of the DOCSIS world standard cable modem at Cable Television Laboratories. He has had an accomplished career in the cable and telecommunications industries, with senior management positions at ARRIS, C-COR, Road Runner, and AT&T Bell Laboratories.
A veteran of the US Air Force, Robert was second in command of Lockheed C-130H Hercules cargo aircraft from 1987-1995. He received his undergraduate and masters’ degrees in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. In addition, he completed five years of post-graduate work in Internet-based intelligent building energy conservation at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Alex Salamon
Senior VP Global Sales
Alex oversees sales and business expansion initiatives on a global basis and is responsible for building Rev2′s worldwide sales team and distribution channels. He has more than two decades of experience in business, technology and sales, having held various senior sales management and development positions within the technology industry. Over the past decade, he has worked with Xavient Information Systems, Sigma Systems, Sun Microsystems and Telcordia with a focus on solutions for the telecommunications industry.
Alex was a founding partner of Broadband Advisory Group, where he managed initiatives aimed at providing cable/broadband sales assistance to companies focused on Commercial Services, Telework and Operational Support Systems (OSS). He holds a BS in Business Administration (Honors) in Management and Computer Science from Northeastern University.
Evan Birkhead
VP Marketing
Evan’s career spans 12 years in high-tech journalism followed by 14 years in marketing and communications. His track record includes 5 years as VP, Corporate Communications at Micromuse (acquired by IBM) and 5 years as VP, Marketing at Helicor (IP acquired by Philips). Along the way, he has guided the sales/marketing strategy and messaging outreach of several successful start-ups in the software industry, culminating in acquisitions by industry leaders such as Network General, EMC2, and NetScout. Evan earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Tufts University and his Masters in Public Communications from Syracuse University.

Lou Steinberg
Chairman of the Board, Rev2
Chief Technology Officer, TD Ameritrade
As the founder of Rev2, Lou was CEO until July 2011 when he became CTO at TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: AMTD). He continues to play an active role as Rev2 Chairman. Previously, he was the CEO of Cranite Systems, which delivered highly secure, layer 2 VPNs to Enterprise and Government. Prior to that he spent several years as CTO of Symbol Technologies (now Motorola), driving a company-wide solutions strategy while also serving as the General Manager of the Software Division.
Lou previously served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Warburg Pincus and as a strategy advisor to senior management at companies including Comcast, Citigroup, and NCR. He was the SVP of Marketing and Market Development at Micromuse (now IBM), a network management and analytics company. Lou joined Micromuse through the acquisition of NetOps Corp, an analysis and fault-prediction company that he founded and led as CEO. He spent over a decade at IBM in various technical and management roles, notably contributing to router development for the NSFNet, a second-generation Internet backbone. He has served on various IETF Working Groups related to network management including SNMP-1, MIB-1, Ethernet MIB, RMON-1, and Alert Management.
He is the author of Troubleshooting with SNMP and Understanding MIBs (McGraw-Hill, 2000), as well as numerous articles on technology and infrastructure. Lou graduated from the Stevens Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in computer science.
Yogesh Gupta
President & Chief Executive Officer, FatWire Software
Until its recent acquisition by Oracle, Yogesh was the President and CEO of FatWire, the largest private Web Experience Management Company. FatWire products are the foundation of the online presence of world’s leading brands such as Apple, Barclays, Boeing, Ford, Grupo Santander, Hartford Insurance, News Corp, Redbull, 3M, and Wal-Mart. Under his leadership the company launched new products, expanded in new geographies, completed two acquisitions and delivered industry-leading record results.
A customer-focused and visionary technology executive, Yogesh has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise software industry, covering engineering, marketing, strategy, planning and business development. Prior to FatWire, he held increasingly responsible senior management roles at CA (NYSE: CA), was Chief Technology Officer at CA for over five years and, in 2004, was selected by InfoWorld as one of the 25 most influential CTO’s worldwide. At CA, he also led the acquisition of three public and 15 private companies over a two-and-a-half year period.
A recognized expert in emerging technologies and industry trends, Yogesh is a published author and much sought-after speaker who regularly presents to audiences ranging from CIOs to CTOs, industry analysts, financial investors and the media. He also serves on the board of Rev2, a risk management technology company, as well as on the boards of Touro Law School and the Long Island High Tech Incubator. Previously, he served on the boards of DimDim (acquired by Salesforce in 2011), UCLA WINMEC, and the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology.
Yogesh holds a patent in the field of neural networks, has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.
Bob Lam
Managing Partner, StrateSight Advisors, LLC
Bob is the founder and Managing Partner of StrateSight Advisors, a strategic consultant to technology companies. Prior to founding StrateSight in 2004, Bob was a Managing Director and Senior Infrastructure Software Analyst at Bear Stearns (now JP Morgan) in New York where he led a team of analysts conducting research on hundreds of public and private infrastructure companies. As a visionary in recognizing the tremendous growth opportunities in the network security industry, Bob is the author of multiple industry-defining reports on network infrastructure and security and has built close relationships with top industry executives and leading technology investors. Leveraging his strong reputation and key relationships, he built a highly successful franchise at Bear Stearns.
As a highly regarded Wall Street expert in infrastructure software, Bob was a frequent speaker and panelist at prominent industry conferences. He made multiple appearances on CNN, CNBC, and Bloomberg TV, and his industry views were widely quoted by the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Network World, and many other business and trade publications. Bob began his Wall Street career as an analyst covering data networking companies and was named Institutional Investor magazine’s Up-And-Comer in 1998.
Previously, he held finance and international accounting positions at IBM’s corporate headquarters in New York. Bob obtained his bachelor’s degree with a double major in Computer Information Systems and Finance at Indiana University. He earned his MBA at the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Walt Simmers

Walt is a corporate attorney who primarily practices in the areas of corporate finance and general corporate law. His clients include a diverse mixture of technology and basic industry manufacturers in the areas of telecommunications, software, biotechnology and materials. Within the bio-technology area, his clients include medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies.
After graduating from college, Walt served in the United States Navy as a supply officer. Between 1971 and 1976 he served as a budget officer on the personal staff of Admiral Hyman G. Rickover, Director Division of Naval Reactors, U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and Department of the Navy. His primary duties involved budgeting for Navy and Atomic Energy Commission research and development programs administered by General Electric and Westinghouse, including programs related to the Trident, Los Angeles, and Seawolf class reactor plants. Walt has lectured and written on business and finance topics to various business groups and co-taught a course on entrepreneurship.
In addition to his professional activities, Walt has served on a number of boards and commissions on a state and local level. He is currently serving on The University of Connecticut Health Center Institutional Review Board, and the Board of Directors of the Biomedical Engineering Alliance and Consortium (BEACON). Walt received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970 and his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1979.
